As a kid I was a big fan of cartoons and I loved watching shows like Transformers, He-Man, and G.I. Joe. While watching those shows I never thought about how these shows were made. Now as an adult I have two daughters and they love to watch My Little Pony and Strawberry Shortcake. After watching these cartoons with my daughters I see credits and I am amazed at all the people it takes to help produce these shows. I started to wonder how much time it took to make these shows.
Recently I had the great pleasure to speak with Mike Vogel to help answer some of my questions. Mike is the Vice President of Development of Hasbro Studios. Mike explained how a cartoon show is created. It was amazing to see how many people it takes to create one show. Mike and I chat about the development of these shows, working with voice actors, and I also find out what shows he loved to watch growing up as a kid. Talking with Mike made me realize how much fun he had at his job and that he is a great fit at Hasbro to make sure all these great shows continue!
